City of San Leandro <br />Meeting Date: December 7, 2020 <br />Resolution - Council <br />Agenda Section:File Number:20-590 CONSENT CALENDAR <br />Agenda Number: <br />TO:City Council <br />FROM:Jeff Kay <br />City Manager <br />BY:Jeanette Dong <br />Recreation and Human Services Director <br />FINANCE REVIEW:Susan Hsieh <br />Finance Director <br />TITLE:RESOLUTION of the City of San Leandro City Council to Approve the City of San <br />Leandro Human Services Commission’s Recommendations for the Community <br />Assistance Program (CAP) Grants for Fiscal Year 2020-21 and to Approve <br />Additional Appropriations of $28,355 from the General Fund Unassigned Fund <br />Balance to Operating Account 010-61-014-8513 to restore the CAP to Full <br />Funding of $150,000. <br />WHEREAS, the City Council recognizes the important work of the City's health and <br />human services community-based organizations in creating a safety net for the City's most <br />vulnerable populations; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council supports efforts to address the following areas: mental <br />health, hunger , shelter, safety net health care, domestic violence and other areas of need in San <br />Leandro; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council received and acknowledged the need for certain <br />health and human services as identified in the Human Services Gap Analysis. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as <br />follows: <br />That the City Manager is authorized to enter into (CAP) Grant agreements with the <br />Recipients identified below, as recommended by the Human Services Commission to the City <br />Council, for a total amount of $150,000 in account 010-61-014-8513 in the Fiscal Year <br />2020-21 adopted budget; <br />AGENCY GENERAL FUND (CAP) <br />East Bay Agency for Children (EBAC)$20,000 <br />Family Violence Law Center $25,000 <br />Girls, Inc. of Alameda County $27,500 <br />Page 1 City of San Leandro Printed on 12/2/2020
