City of San Leandro <br />Meeting Date: December 7, 2020 <br />Resolution - Council <br />Agenda Section:File Number:20-571 CONSENT CALENDAR <br />Agenda Number: <br />TO:City Council <br />FROM:Jeff Kay <br />City Manager <br />BY:Jeff Kay <br />City Manager <br />FINANCE REVIEW:Susan Hsieh <br />Finance Director <br />TITLE:RESOLUTION of the City of San Leandro City Council to Approve and Authorize <br />the City Manager to Execute a Consulting Services Agreement with SEED <br />Collaborative, Inc., in Partnership with the Perception Institute, to Assist with the <br />Creation of a City of San Leandro Equity and Race Advisory Committee, and <br />Development of an Equity Plan; and to Appropriate an Amount Not to Exceed <br />$227,500, Including Expenses <br />WHEREAS, a Consulting Services Agreement with SEED Collaborative, in Partnership <br />with the Perception Institute, is presented to this City Council; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council is familiar with the contents thereof; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends approval of said agreement. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro RESOLVES as follows: <br />That said agreement is hereby approved; <br />That the City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to execute said agreement on <br />behalf of the City, subject to approval as to form by the City Attorney; and <br />That the City Manager is authorized to take all actions necessary or appropriate to carry <br />out and implement the terms of the agreement and to administer the City’s obligations, <br />responsibilities and duties to be performed under the agreement; and <br />That the following funds shall be appropriated in Fiscal Year 2020-2021 for said purpose: <br />City Council Consulting (010-11-010-5120)$17,000 <br />CMO Contingency (010-14-015-8355) $35,000 <br />Page 1 City of San Leandro Printed on 12/2/2020
