City of San Leandro <br />Meeting Date: December 14, 2020 <br />Resolution - Council <br />Agenda Section:File Number:20-518 CONSENT CALENDAR <br />Agenda Number: <br />TO:City Council <br />FROM:Jeff Kay <br />City Manager <br />BY:Keith Cooke <br />Engineering & Transportation Director <br />FINANCE REVIEW:Susan Hsieh <br />Finance Director <br />TITLE:RESOLUTION of the City of San Leandro City Council to Approve Amendment <br />No. 1 to a Consulting Services Agreement with Testing Engineers for Special <br />Inspection and Materials Testing to Increase the Amount of Compensation by <br />$51,000 for a Total Not to Exceed Amount of $85,000 for the Farrelly Pool <br />Replacement, Project No. 2018.3420; and to Authorize the Extension of the <br />Contract Term from June 30, 2021 to December 31, 2021 (provides for <br />additional testing and inspection services resulting from COVID-19 impacts <br />needed to comply with building permit and code requirements, and extends the <br />term of the contract to December 31, 2021) <br />WHEREAS, an agreement dated September 30, 2019 exists between the City of San <br />Leandro and Testing Engineers; and <br />WHEREAS, a contract change order is required to compensate for additional services; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, Amendment No. 1 to the agreement, a copy of which is attached and <br />incorporated herein, is presented to this City Council; and <br />WHEREAS the City Council is familiar with the contents thereof; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends approval of said amendment to the <br />agreement to increase the amount to not exceed $85,000 and extend the term from June 30, <br />2021 to December 31, 2021. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as <br />follows: <br />That said amendment is hereby approved and execution by the City Manager is hereby <br />authorized. <br />Page 1 City of San Leandro Printed on 12/9/2020 <br />132
