She <br />requests a discussion with the City about future Measure B and Measure BB funded <br />projects. <br />DISCUSSION ITEMS3. <br />3.A.20-502 LEED and the Climate Action Plan <br />Sustainability Manager Hoi-Fei Mok and City Engineer Nick Thom presented an update <br />on LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) and the City’s Climate <br />Action Plan. <br />COMMITTEE REQUESTS/DIRECTION TO STAFF: <br />a. Mayor Cutter is in favor of increasing solar panels on City building to decrease <br />energy costs and increasing secure bicycle parking at Farrelly Pool. She requested a <br />discussion regarding covering Farrelly Pool to reduce heating costs/heat loss in the <br />future. She also requested staff prepare announcements during regular Council <br />meetings with “good news” on CIP projects. <br />b. Councilmember Cox recommends emphasizing analysis of increased construction <br />cost vs lowered maintenance cost when this item goes to City Council. <br />c. Councilmember Lopez recommends investigating options for signage at Gill Lane <br />(alley adjacent to Pool) to ensure access to pedestrians as well as bicycle parking at <br />Farrelly Pool. <br />This matter was Received and Filed <br />3.B.20-503 Staff Update on Project and Land Development Projects <br />City Engineer Nick Thom presented an update on the Capital Improvement Program for <br />fiscal years 2022 and 2023. <br />COMMITTEE REQUESTS/DIRECTION TO STAFF: <br />a. Mayor Cutter requests a map of the City with current projects detailed and project <br />presentations at key milestones. <br />b. Councilmember Lopez requests FYI to City Council and letters to residents <br />regarding sidewalk repairs and City street tree removal evaluation steps and requested <br />the fund balance for the Developer Fees for Street Improvement fund. <br />This matter was Received and Filed <br />3.C.20-504 Discussion Regarding Future Agenda Items <br />COMMITTEE REQUESTS/DIRECTION TO STAFF: <br />a. Mayor Cutter requests another BRT punchlist walk. <br />b. Councilmember Cox requests a discussion in relation to San Leandro 2050 and <br />planning for pedestrian and bicycle access. <br />c.
