December 17, 2020Disaster Council Minutes <br />“blood ambassadors” who assist at blood drives. Catrina will be working with Michael <br />Gregory to get the word out using SLKindness and maybe doing a blood drive within <br />the city, because future blood drives will need to be done in large spaces. <br />School Districts <br />• San Leandro <br />• San Lorenzo <br />2.E. <br />San Leandro Unified reported that the food distribution reached a milestone in that 1 <br />million meals have been given out since the beginning. The reopening plan was <br />presented to the District’s Board of Trustees on Dec 15, which recommends a phased <br />return to in person learning, including the use of blended models incorporating cohorts, <br />when Alameda County is in the Orange Tier. The tentative return date is March 2021, <br />though this could change. <br />Utilities <br />• PG&E <br />• EBCE <br />2.F. <br />EBCE thanked the Mayor, staff, and everyone on the Disaster Council and appreciates <br />the COVID-19 updates <br />Other Agencies within the City <br />• Chamber of Commerce <br />• Faith Based Organizations <br />• Building Futures with Women and Children <br />2.G. <br />Unity Church thanked the Council for the updates and if the San Leandro Clergy <br />Alliance can assist, please let them know. <br />ARES reported that they have started radio checks with their handheld radios in order <br />to have coverage throughout the city and they have also started to develop a <br />deployment staffing pattern to use during an emergency. <br />PUBLIC COMMENTS3. <br />No public comments were received. <br />ADJOURN4. <br />The meeting was adjourned at 3:10 p.m. after CM Lopez thanked CM Kay since this is <br />his last meeting with the City and the Mayor wished everyone a happy holiday. <br />Page 5City of San Leandro <br />90
