RESOLUTION THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br />RESOLUTION NO.2021-029 <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO CITY COUNCIL TO APPROVE <br />PAID LEAVE FOR CITY OF SAN LEANDRO EMPLOYEES WHO MUST <br />QUARANTINE DUE TO WORK -RELATED COVID-19 EXPOSURE <br />WHEREAS, the health and safety of City of San Leandro's employees is a top priority <br />during the COVID-19 pandemic; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of San Leandro will provide paid leave ("Quarantine Leave") for <br />employees who must quarantine due to work -related COVID-19 exposure; and <br />WHEREAS, employees would be provided up to 80 hours of Quarantine Leave if exposed <br />to COVID-19 at work and be paid their regular base pay for the hours they were scheduled to work <br />during the quarantine period; and <br />WHEREAS, the Quarantine Leave will be provided between January 1, 2021 through June <br />30, 2021; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Manager is authorized to extend the availability of Quarantine Leave <br />if necessary based on the pandemic situation. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro hereby RESOLVES to <br />provide paid Quarantine Leave to employees who must quarantine due to work -related COVID-19 <br />exposure, subject to such negotiated conditions. <br />Introduced by Councilmember Cox and passed and adopted this Ist day of February 2021, <br />by the following vote: <br />Members of the Council: <br />AYES: Councilmembers Aguilar, Azevedo, Ballew, Cox, Lopez, Simon, Mayor Cutter (7) <br />NOES: None (0) <br />ABSENT: None (0) <br />ATTEST: -,�, - ) /�4c_ <br />t' is I.
