RESOLUTION THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br />RESOLUTION NO.2020-161 <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO CITY COUNCIL TO AUTHORIZE <br />THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A PROJECT FUNDING AGREEMENT <br />WITH THE ALAMEDA COUNTY TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION FOR <br />DISCRETIONARY FUNDING RELATED TO THE COVID-19 RAPID RESPONSE <br />BICYCLE/PEDESTRIAN GRANT PROGRAM; TO APPROPRIATE $75,000 IN GRANT <br />FUNDS; AND TO APPROPRIATE $75,000 OF MATCHING FUNDS FROM MEASURE <br />B BIKE AND PED FUND BALANCE. (PROVIDES FOR AN AGREEMENT WITH THE <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION TO PROVIDE $75,000 <br />GRANT FOR THE DESIGN AND INSTALLATION OF RECTANGULAR RAPID <br />FLASHING BEACONS FOR FOUR CROSSWALKS LOCATIONS IN THE CITY) <br />WHEREAS, on October 30, 2020, Alameda County Transportation Commission (ACTC) <br />granted the City of San Leandro $75,000 in discretionary fiends to design and install Rectangular <br />Rapid Flashing Beacons for four crosswalks in the City; and <br />WHEREAS, ACTC requires an agreement in order to distribute the grant funds; and <br />WHEREAS, ACTC requires the City to provide a 1:1 match for the grant; and <br />WHEREAS, the project agreement between the City of San Leandro and the ACTC is <br />presented to this City Council; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council is familiar with the contents thereof, and the City Manager <br />recommends approval of the project agreement. <br />NOW THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro RESOLVES as <br />follows: <br />1. That said agreement substantially in the form presented is hereby approved and <br />execution by the City Manager is hereby authorized; and <br />2. That $75,000 of grant fiends are appropriated for the project to Account No. 150-36- <br />440; and <br />3. That $75,000 of matching fiends are appropriated from Measure B Bicycle and <br />Pedestrian Fund balance to Account No. 144-36-440; and <br />4. That the City Manager is authorized to make non -substantial revisions to said <br />agreement, subject to approval as to form by the City Attorney; and <br />5. That an original executed agreement shall be attached to and made a part of this <br />resolution. <br />
