RESOLUTION THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO RESOLUTION NO.2020-161 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO CITY COUNCIL TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A PROJECT FUNDING AGREEMENT WITH THE ALAMEDA COUNTY TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION FOR DISCRETIONARY FUNDING RELATED TO THE COVID-19 RAPID RESPONSE BICYCLE/PEDESTRIAN GRANT PROGRAM; TO APPROPRIATE $75,000 IN GRANT FUNDS; AND TO APPROPRIATE $75,000 OF MATCHING FUNDS FROM MEASURE B BIKE AND PED FUND BALANCE. (PROVIDES FOR AN AGREEMENT WITH THE ALAMEDA COUNTY TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION TO PROVIDE $75,000 GRANT FOR THE DESIGN AND INSTALLATION OF RECTANGULAR RAPID FLASHING BEACONS FOR FOUR CROSSWALKS LOCATIONS IN THE CITY) WHEREAS, on October 30, 2020, Alameda County Transportation Commission (ACTC) granted the City of San Leandro $75,000 in discretionary fiends to design and install Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacons for four crosswalks in the City; and WHEREAS, ACTC requires an agreement in order to distribute the grant funds; and WHEREAS, ACTC requires the City to provide a 1:1 match for the grant; and WHEREAS, the project agreement between the City of San Leandro and the ACTC is presented to this City Council; and WHEREAS, the City Council is familiar with the contents thereof, and the City Manager recommends approval of the project agreement. NOW THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro RESOLVES as follows: 1. That said agreement substantially in the form presented is hereby approved and execution by the City Manager is hereby authorized; and 2. That $75,000 of grant fiends are appropriated for the project to Account No. 150-36- 440; and 3. That $75,000 of matching fiends are appropriated from Measure B Bicycle and Pedestrian Fund balance to Account No. 144-36-440; and 4. That the City Manager is authorized to make non -substantial revisions to said agreement, subject to approval as to form by the City Attorney; and 5. That an original executed agreement shall be attached to and made a part of this resolution.
