They also are still providing food and childcare at <br />Jefferson Elementary. <br />Red Cross reported that some of the staff that respond to emergencies have received <br />their vaccine and they continue to respond where there is a need. <br />School Districts <br />• San Leandro <br />• San Lorenzo <br />2.E. <br />San Leandro Unified reported that they have nine (9) in-person educational programs, 8 <br />ASES and 1 Champions, and run M-F 2:30-6PM. The schools can now offer optional <br />small in person support, particularly to those who are in need. We will be opening <br />based on county guidance and are continually assessing and refine the support plans. <br />Principals are finalizing their small in-person cohorts lists and each school will have <br />their own start date based on their plans. The reopening process was aided by locally <br />approved Measure J, which allowed for the AC system to be updated to include new <br />filters. The financial services were able to make use of CARES Act funds in a short <br />period of time. <br />The District is finalizing its pilot employee testing process for staff. This will be a <br />voluntary program and the testing will take place at 2 sites (SLHS and John Muir <br />Middle) Mon -Thur twice a day. They will be using a self-administered saliva test and <br />conducted every 2 weeks. After the pilot period, it will open it up to all staff. <br />San Lorenzo Unified provided no report. <br />Utilities <br />• PG&E <br />• EBCE <br />2.F. <br />PG&E shared information about the several customer level support programs, all of <br />which can be found online: California Alternate Rate for Energy (CARE) for low-income <br />customers to negotiate lower rates and plans, Family Electric Rate Assistance (FERA) <br />– a federally funded program to assist with families who need assistance paying their <br />bills, Medical Baseline and the unwritten policy for not shutting off power during <br />COVID.
