<br />Water Pollution Control Plant Manager: Plans and directs the overall operation and routine maintenance and cleaning
<br />activities of the wastewater treatment plant, collection systems, laboratory, Environmental Services, and related facilities;
<br />ensures the efficient use of staff, utilities, chemicals and materials in order to meet all standards and regulations mandated
<br />by federal, state and local agencies; Monitors legislation and regulatory action related to water quality issues, hazardous
<br />materials, and other environmental issues and makes recommendations to the Director of Public Works; Directs
<br />recordkeeping relating to operations, maintenance and administrative activities and prepares or directs the preparation of a
<br />variety of periodic and special reports, including NPDES monthly report; advises the Public Works Service Director of
<br />significant operational or other data; Directs and participates in the selection, training, review and evaluation of staff;
<br />encourages professional growth and appropriate certification for staff; investigates employee relations problems;
<br />implements or recommends corrective actions; Develops and administers division budget; monitors expenditures to assure
<br />compliance with budget appropriation; manages and monitors Wastewater Enterprise Fund; and perform other activates
<br />directly related to management and administration of the CUPA and Pretreatment Programs.
<br />Administrative Analyst II: Plans, organizes, directs and coordinates programs and department activities; reviews work both
<br />in progress and upon completion to ensure compliance with City and department policy, standards and directions; Provides
<br />highly responsible administrative staff assistance including conducting specific and comprehensive analysis of a wide range
<br />of municipal policies involving organization, procedures, finance and services; prepares and makes presentations to City
<br />Council; Represents City in local and/or regional policy-making bodies; Conducts organization, administrative, fiscal, and
<br />personnel studies; conducts surveys and collects information on operational and administrative problems; evaluates
<br />programs and initiates studies and analyses; formulates, documents and presents findings and accompanying
<br />documentation; Prepares and administers program budgets; evaluates staffing arrangements, staffing levels, and work
<br />assignments and makes recommendations; prepares work schedules and assigns personnel; submits hiring
<br />recommendations for approval; may act as system administrator for program automation systems; Confers with
<br />departmental representatives, public officials, the business community and the general public in the accomplishments of
<br />program objectives; furnishes information to policy-making officials; may represent department at meetings and on
<br />boards/commissions; arranges for City Council community town hall meetings; and Responds to requests, comments,
<br />inquiries and surveys from public and other agencies.
