City of San Leandro <br />Meeting Date: June 21, 2021 <br />Resolution - Council <br />Agenda Section:File Number:21-375 CONSENT CALENDAR <br />Agenda Number: <br />TO:City Council <br />FROM:Fran Robustelli <br />City Manager <br />BY:Luis Torres <br />Acting Chief of Police <br />FINANCE REVIEW:Susan Hsieh <br />Finance Director <br />TITLE:RESOLUTION of the City of San Leandro City Council Authorizing the City <br />Manager to Execute a Non-Professional Services Agreement for a not to Exceed <br />Amount of $637,200 with Priority 1 Public Safety Equipment Installation <br />Incorporated, for Maintaining, Servicing, and Outfitting of Existing Police Vehicles <br />to Match Equipment Presently in Use in the Police Department’s Fleet <br />WHEREAS, the City annually replaces police vehicles according to a 10-year replacement <br />schedule; and <br />WHEREAS, the City outfits the replacement vehicles with proper code 3 equipment <br />pursuant to California Vehicle Code specifications; and <br />WHEREAS, staff identified and is currently using a service provider that can outfit to <br />police specifications, maintain, and service all Police Department vehicles; and <br /> WHEREAS, staff identified Priority 1 Public Safety Equipment as its service provider: and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council is familiar with the contents thereof; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends approval of said agreement. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as <br />follows: <br />That in accordance with California Public Contract Code Section 3400(c)(2), a sole <br />source purchase finding is made and justified to match equipment currently in use; and <br />That said agreement is hereby approved and execution by the City Manager is hereby <br />Page 1 City of San Leandro Printed on 6/19/2021 <br />421
