RESOLUTION THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2021-103 <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO CITY COUNCIL <br />AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A NON-PROFESSIONAL <br />SERVICES AGREEMENT FOR A NOT TO EXCEED AMOUNT OF S637,200 WITH <br />PRIORITY 1 PUBLIC SAFETY EQUIPMENT INSTALLATION INCORPORATED, <br />FOR MAINTAINING, SERVICING, AND OUTFITTING OF EXISTING POLICE <br />VEHICLES TO MATCH EQUIPMENT PRESENTLY IN USE IN THE POLICE <br />DEPARTMENT'S FLEET <br />WHEREAS, the City annually replaces police vehicles according to a 10-year replacement <br />schedule; and <br />WHEREAS, the City outfits the replacement vehicles with proper code 3 equipment <br />pursuant to California Vehicle Code specifications; and <br />WHEREAS, staff identified and is currently using a service provider that can outfit to <br />police specifications, maintain, and service all Police Department vehicles; and <br />WHEREAS, staff identified Priority 1 Public Safety Equipment as its service provider: and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council is familiar with the contents thereof, and <br />WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends approval of said agreement. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as <br />follows: <br />That in accordance with California Public Contract Code Section 3400(c)(2), a sole source <br />purchase finding is made and justified to match equipment currently in use; and <br />That said agreement is hereby approved and execution by the City Manager is hereby <br />authorized. <br />
