McDaniel <br />Announcements1.B. <br />Members of the Disaster Council introduced themselves and the agencies they <br />represent. <br />DISCUSSION ITEMS2. <br />City of San Leandro response to COVID-19 <br />• San Leandro City Council <br />2.A. <br />Mayor Cutter thanked everyone for joining the meeting. The City is looking to start <br />looking at high priority projects, developing a plan to use Community Development <br />Block Grant (CDBG) funding to assist with the recovery and reviewing applications for <br />60 small business emergency grants. <br />Vice Mayor Ballew disclosed information on the Small Business Grants, which will be <br />$5,000 each and closed on Monday. <br />Councilmember Lopez commented on the hope to have a testing site in the City and <br />how the CDBG funds will help with food and rent for the public and was pleased to see <br />that the Public Health dashboard shared information based on demographics. <br />Alameda County <br />• Office of Emergency Services <br />• Alameda County Fire Department <br />• Alameda Public Health Department <br />2.B. <br />Alameda County Office of Emergency Services provided the total number of cases in <br />the county, the messages that are being developed and the changes in the health <br />order. The food bank is distributing food in Oakland and more hotels for the <br />unsheltered were added. OES has developed an interactive dashboard for food, <br />includes testing sites and other services. An overview of test sites was also provided. <br />Alameda County Fire Department (ACFD) provided an update on increase in call <br />volume and how they continue to work with ACPH to provide testing at skilled nursing <br />facilities and in congregate living settings. <br />San Leandro City <br />• San Leandro City Manager <br />• San Leandro Police <br />2.C. <br />Jeff Kay, City Manager, provided an overview of how the City is coordinating with Eden <br />Health Care District for a testing site, reviewing the new health orders focusing on <br />Page 2City of San Leandro <br />48
