April 2, 2020Disaster Council Minutes <br />emergency department. <br />American Red Cross is working with the County Emergency Operations Center. <br />Davis Street Family Resource Center provided an update about the testing at the <br />clinic, the impact on Behavioral Health and the use of telehealth. The food distribution <br />provided roughly 100 families a week’s worth of food. The volunteer website will be <br />helpful. The Jefferson and Lakeside childcare sites are open and have capacity and <br />would like to partner with San Leandro Unified to open up Garfield. <br />School Districts <br />• San Leandro <br />• San Lorenzo <br />2.E. <br />San Leandro Unified School District reported on schools being closed through the end <br />of the school year due to new state directives. The District has distributed over 3000 <br />Chromebooks, education plans have been distributed and are working with Comcast <br />and Common to provide free internet services. The food distribution program has <br />distributed 600-800 meals per day, three times a week at three sites and the numbers <br />are growing. The District is working with Davis Street to open Garfield. <br />Dr. Camp, San Lorenzo Unified School District Supervisor, reported that all District <br />employees continue to be paid and many have volunteered to assist with the food <br />distribution, which has served 600-700 meals per day at three school sites. The <br />District has transitioned to distance learning, conducted a assessment of <br />technological needs and will be distributing Chromebooks and laptops. <br />Utilities2.F. <br />No report <br />Other Agencies within the City <br />• Chamber of Commerce <br />• Faith Based Organizations <br />• Building Futures with Women and Children <br />2.G. <br />Chamber of Commerce asked about clarification on to manufacturing, which the city is <br />working to clarify. The Chamber is using multiple formats to provide information to <br />members. <br />Creekside Community offered their parking lot for testing. <br />First United Methodist San Leandro has a building use agreement with Kids Konnect, <br />which has been asked by the State to remain open. Building Futures has moved their <br />intake to the church to maintain social distancing. <br />Unity Church of San Leandro has been providing worship services online. <br />PUBLIC COMMENTS3. <br />Public Comment was received from Mr. Kenneth W.
