City of San Leandro <br />Meeting Date: December 6, 2021 <br />Resolution - Council <br />Agenda Section:File Number:21-693 CONSENT CALENDAR <br />Agenda Number: <br />TO:City Council <br />FROM:Fran Robustelli <br />City Manager <br />BY:Eric Engelbart <br />Deputy City Manager <br />FINANCE REVIEW:Not Applicable <br />TITLE:RESOLUTION of the City of San Leandro City Council to Approve and Authorize <br />the City Manager to Accept $2.75 Million in Statewide Park Development and <br />Community Revitalization Program Grant Funds Towards the Redevelopment of <br />Memorial Park, located at 1105 Bancroft Avenue <br />WHEREAS, the State Department of Parks and Recreation was delegated the responsibility by <br />the Legislature of the State of California for the administration of the Statewide Park Development and <br />Community Revitalization Grant Program, including setting up necessary procedures governing the <br />application; and <br />WHEREAS, said procedures established by the State Department of Parks and Recreation <br />require the Applicant to certify by resolution the approval of the application that is submitted to the State; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of San Leandro must enter into a contract with the State of California to <br />complete the scope of the project. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro hereby RESOLVES that: <br />The City Council accepts the grant funds, action by the City Manager is approved and execution <br />is authorized to accept $2.75 million in state funds that were awarded to the City of San Leandro <br />towards the renovation of Memorial Park in San Leandro; and <br />1. Approves the filing of the project application for the specified grant project; and <br />2. The City of San Leandro, as the Applicant, certifies that it has or will have available, prior to <br />commencement of any work on the project included in its application, sufficient funds as <br />may be required to complete the project; and <br />3. The City of San Leandro, as the Applicant, certifies it has or will have sufficient funds to <br />operate and maintain the project, and <br />4.
