City of San Leandro <br />Meeting Date: December 6, 2021 <br />Resolution - Council <br />Agenda Section:File Number:21-696 CONSENT CALENDAR <br />Agenda Number: <br />TO:City Council <br />FROM:Fran Robustelli <br />City Manager <br />BY:Debbie Pollart <br />Public Works Director <br />FINANCE REVIEW:Not Applicable <br />TITLE:RESOLUTION of the City of San Leandro City Council Declaring Twenty-Three <br />(23) Vehicles, Two (2) Pieces of Equipment, and Other Miscellaneous Items as <br />Surplus and Authorizing the Sale of Said Surplus Assets at Public Auction <br />WHEREAS, Section 1-6-500 of the San Leandro Municipal Code authorizes the City’s <br />Purchasing Agent to sell equipment which has become unsuitable or unnecessary for the City’s <br />purposes; and <br />WHEREAS, twenty-three (23) vehicles, two (2) pieces of equipment, and other <br />miscellaneous items were identified as no longer useful to City operations and therefore should <br />be declared surplus and sold at auction; and <br />WHEREAS, proceeds from the sale of the vehicles and equipment will be returned to the <br />Equipment Maintenance Fund. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City of San Leandro City Council hereby RESOLVES as follows: <br />Following public notice as may be required by law and in accordance with Section 1-6-500 <br />of the San Leandro Municipal Code, the declaration of surplus and authorization of the sale of <br />twenty-three (23) vehicles, two (2) pieces of equipment, and other miscellaneous items at public <br />auction by U.S. Auctions is approved and should be scheduled for a date to be determined in <br />December 2021 or January 2022. <br />Page 1 City of San Leandro Printed on 12/2/2021 <br />209
