City of San Leandro <br />Meeting Date: February 7, 2022 <br />Resolution - Council <br />Agenda Section:File Number:22-052 CONSENT CALENDAR <br />Agenda Number: <br />TO:City Council <br />FROM:Fran Robustelli <br />City Manager <br />BY:Abdul Pridgen <br />Chief of Police <br />FINANCE REVIEW:Susan Hsieh <br />Finance Director <br />TITLE:RESOLUTION of the City of San Leandro City Council Authorizing the City <br />Manager to Execute Purchase Agreement(s) for the Purchase and Outfitting of <br />Eight Police Vehicles, Two of Which Will be Hybrid Vehicles, in an Amount not to <br />Exceed $513,822.19 <br />WHEREAS, the City annually replaces police vehicles according to a replacement <br />schedule and the Council deferred all police vehicle replacements in Fiscal Year 2020-2021; and <br />WHEREAS, staff proposes procuring eight vehicles, including the equipment needed to <br />outfit each vehicle; and <br />WHEREAS, staff included local dealerships in the competitive bid process, receiving two <br />responsive bids-one bid from San Leandro Ford for the purchase of five Ford Interceptors, two of <br />which are Hybrid vehicles; and one bid from Elk Grove Auto Group for the purchase of three <br />Dodge Chargers; and <br />WHEREAS, the total amount of the purchase for all eight vehicles, including delivery, will <br />not exceed $364,820.75; and <br /> WHEREAS, the outfitting of the new vehicles will be completed by Priority One with whom <br />the City is already in contract to purchase and install all the necessary equipment to outfit each <br />vehicle according to Police Department specifications and estimated to cost $149,001.44 for all <br />eight vehicles; and <br /> WHEREAS, all associated funding is included in the Asset Seizure Fund (F146) of the <br />city’s Fiscal Year 2021-2022 Adopted Budget in Accounts 146-21-014 and 146-21-017. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro RESOLVES as follows: <br />Page 1 City of San Leandro Printed on 2/3/2022
