City of San Leandro Meeting Date: July 5, 2022 Resolution - Council Agenda Section:File Number:22-084 CONSENT CALENDAR Agenda Number: TO:City Council FROM:Fran Robustelli City Manager BY:Debbie Pollart Public Works Director FINANCE REVIEW:Not Applicable TITLE:RESOLUTION of the City of San Leandro City Council Authorizing the City Manager to Approve a CalRecycle Grant Application in the Amount of $115,507 for SB1383 Local Assistance Grant Program Funding for Fiscal Year 2021-2022 and 2022-2023; and to authorize the City Manager to Execute all Documents Pertaining to this Resolution and the Administration of the Grant Award WHEREAS, Public Resources Code section 48000 et seq., 14581, and 42023.1(g), authorizes the Department of Resources Recycling and Recovery (CalRecycle) to administer various grant and payment programs in furtherance of the State of California’s (State) efforts to reduce, recycle, and reuse solid waste generated in the State thereby preserving landfill capacity and protecting public health and safety and the environment; and WHEREAS, in furtherance of this authority, CalRecycle is required to establish procedures governing the administration of its payment programs; and administration of the application, awarding, and management of its grant programs; and WHEREAS, CalRecycle’s procedures for administering payment and grant programs require, among other things, an applicant’s governing body to declare by resolution certain authorizations related to the administration of the payment and grant program. WHEREAS, the City Council is familiar with the terms of the application; and WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends approval of said application . NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro RESOLVES as follows: 1.That said grant application in an amount not to exceed $115,507 is hereby authorized; and Page 1 City of San Leandro Printed on 3/17/2022
