IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br />RESOLUTION NO.2022-059 <br />RESOLUTION TO APPROVE A THREE-YEAR CONSULTING SERVICES <br />AGREEMENT WITH BUILDING FUTURES WITH WOMEN AND CHILDREN IN <br />THE AMOUNT OF $442,965 FOR THE PURPOSE OF MOBILE OUTREACH <br />ACTIVITIES TO SERVE THE UNSHELTERED POPULATION OF SAN LEANDRO, <br />APPROPRIATE FUNDS FROM THE AMERICAN RESCUE PLAN ACT (ARPA) FUND <br />190, AND AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO APPROVE UNSPENT ARPA <br />FUNDS TO FUTURE FISCAL YEARS' BUDGETS <br />WHEREAS, there is a need for outreach services to the unsheltered population of the <br />City of San Leandro; and <br />WHEREAS, Building Futures with Women and Children (BFWC) plays a key role in <br />linking those in need with services via Alameda County's Coordinated Entry System and <br />connecting clients with shelter, interim housing, rapid re -housing & permanent supportive <br />housing; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends the appropriation of unspent funds from the <br />American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) Fund 190 for the purposes of providing these much needed <br />services; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends allocating unspent ARPA funds to future <br />fiscal years' budgets for the BFWC contract; and <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE as <br />follows: <br />1. The City Manager is authorized to execute a $442,265 agreement with Building Futures <br />with Women and Children. <br />2. Appropriation of ARPA funds in the amounts of $36,914 for fiscal year 2021-22 and <br />$147,655 for fiscal year 2022-23. <br />3.
