<br />1 <br />SUMMARY <br />A summary of the City Council Hearing Draft Code amendments is provided below. Appendix <br />A: City Council Hearing Draft Code Amendments presents the specific changes to the existing <br />zoning regulations, showing all text to be deleted in strikeout, appearing as follows: text to be <br />deleted, and text to be added shown in underline, appearing as follows: text to be added. <br />Citywide Standards <br />Multi-family and Mixed Use Residential Development <br />New Zoning Code Section 4.04.336, Multi-family and Mixed-Use Residential Development, <br />contains design standards that are applicable to all multi-family and mixed-use development <br />citywide, except in the BTOD District which has its own Specific Plan and design standards. <br />The standards in Section 4.04.336 address all aspects of development; how the building is <br />designed (Section 4.04.336.A, Building Design), how the space is designed (Section <br />4.04.336,B, Space Requirements), and how the site is designed (Section 4.04.336.C, Site <br />Design Requirements), resulting in amenity rich development with inviting ground levels, <br />articulated facades, ample landscaping, gathering areas, and sensitive transitions to adjacent <br />development that implement City plans and policies for complete streets, housing, and <br />sustainability. <br /> <br />33
