IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 2022-_____ <br /> <br />ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO CITY COUNCIL AMENDING <br />SECTION 2-2-500 OF THE SAN LEANDRO MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO <br />ANNUAL CPI ADJUSTMENT TO BUSINESS LICENSE FEES <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2-2-500 of the San Leandro Municipal Code Relating <br />to the Annual Consumer Price Index (CPI) Adjustment to Business License Fees, <br />the City Council desires to increase Business License fees to all categories identified in <br />Section 2-2-500 by the Consumer Price Index (All-Urban Consumers, San Francisco <br />Area), which is an increase of 4.2% above the current fees. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City of San Leandro City Council hereby ORDAINS as <br />follows: <br /> <br />Section 1. Chapter 2, Title 2, Section 2-2-500 of the San Leandro Municipal Code is <br />amended to reflect a 4.2% annual CPI adjustment and is amended in its entirety to read as <br />follows: <br /> <br />“2-2-500 FEES BASED ON NATURE OF BUSINESS <br /> <br />Every person commencing or carrying on a business within this City shall pay a license <br />fee in an amount determined by the Finance Director in accordance with the nature of the <br />business as hereinafter set forth: <br /> <br /> Annual <br />Business Classification Base Fee Unit Fee Unit Fee Basis <br />Automobile Wrecking $777.50 - Flat/Annual <br />Bingo $155.20 - Flat/Annual <br />Carnival $155.20 $279.60 Flat/Daily <br />Christmas Trees/Pumpkin Patch $777.50 - Flat/Annual <br />Coin-Operated Device $155.20 $1.30 x per $1,000 of gross receipts <br />Commercial Advertising $777.50 - Flat/Annual <br />Contractors $155.20 $93.30 x per each owner and each employee <br />Dance Hall $777.50 - Flat/Annual <br />Firearms Dealer $155.20 $4.60 per $100 of gross receipts attributable to <br /> the sales of firearms capable of being <br /> concealed upon the person and <br /> ammunition for such firearms, excluding <br /> sales to public agencies <br />Fortunetelling $777.50 - Flat/Annual <br />Itinerant Merchant $155.20 $48.20 Flat/Weekly <br />Manufacturing $155.20 $46.60 x per each owner and each employee <br />Miscellaneous $155.20 $46.60 x per each owner and each employee <br />Mobile Food Vendors $155.20 - Flat/Annual
