ADMINISTRATIVE REVIEW DRAFT <br />Goal 54: Administration of Housing Programs <br />Ensure that local housing programs are administered in a way that maximizes benefits to <br />San Leandro residents. <br />Policies and Actions Implementation Strategies <br />Policy 54.01 HOUSING DIVISION <br />Maintain a department or division within San Leandro City . City Operating <br />government that is specifically responsible for housing and Procedures <br />coordination with other agencies on housing issues. <br />Policy 54.02 EFFICIENCY OF OPERATIONS <br />Enlist the assistance of the Alameda County Housing and <br />Community Development Department and local non -profits <br />such as ECHO Housing in the administration of housing <br />programs where City administration is infeasible or would be <br />inefficient. <br />Policy 54.03 HOUSING ADVOCACY <br />Ensure that San Leandro is represented on task forces or <br />other forums addressing housing issues at the regional, state, <br />and national levels. <br />Policy 54.04 LONG-TERM AFFORDABILITY RESTRICTIONS <br />Ensure that housing units that are created or rehabilitated <br />with financial assistance from the City (or that are created <br />through the City's inclusionary housing ordinance) include <br />restrictions to ensure that they will remain affordable for the <br />maximum length of time allowable under federal, state and <br />local regulations.'. For projects outside of Redevelopment areas, the terms vary <br />depending on the funding source or the regulatory tool used to create the units.
