Board/Commission Findings The Human Services Commission voted to make the following recommendation to the City Council: 1. Provide Community Assistance Grant funding at the level of $15,000 per year for the two year grant cycle, with the following requirements: • The agency must comply with all reporting requirements, including complete and punctual reports. • The agency must provide representation at the bimonthly Community Assistance Director's Meetings. • The agency must participate in the CARD program. • Failure to comply with any of these requirements will result in recommendation to the City Council to terminate funding. Sent to existing mailing list and advertised twice in the Daily Review and San Leandro Times. 1/28/02 Community Assistance Funding Workshop — Open to all interested parties 4/6/02 Applicant presentations/interviews 4/24/02 Human Services Commission Meeting to adopt recommendations — Applicants notified of meeting 5/1/02 Recommendations sent to applicants with public hearing notice and appeal process 6/3/02 City Council Public Hearing 6/26/02 Human Services Commission Meeting — St. Peter's application reviewed, applicant represented at the meeting Fiscal Impact This General Fund request will cost $15,000 per year for the 2002-2004 two-year grant cycle which requires increasing the 2002-2003 Budget by $15,000 and will be funded by the General Fund Contingency Budget originally funded at $200,000. Budget Authority NA Attachments: NA CONCLUSION If approved by the City Council, staff will execute a contract with St. Peter's for the funded services.
