` Washington Manor Pool CSA is 3 July 11, 2001 <br />CONCLUSION <br />Staff recommends approval of the agreement with Aquatic Design Group to <br />perform a feasibility study regarding improvements to the Washington Manor <br />Park Swim Center. <br />In light of the identification by the City Council and the San Leandro Unified <br />School District Board of rehabilitating District -owned pools as a top joint -use <br />project, staff recommends that we negotiate an amendment to the original Manor <br />Pool contract. The purpose of the amendment would be to expand the scope of <br />the needs analysis from being specific to the Manor Pool area to a city-wide <br />analysis of aquatic needs. This action will allow staff to proceed expeditiously in <br />developing recommendations on District -owned pool rehabilitation projects. <br />Given the clear Council direction that staff should proceed in this analysis, we <br />recommend that the proposed contract be approved now, and that the City <br />Manager be authorized to amend that contract as required to accommodate the <br />city-wide needs assessment.
