CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br />STAFF REPORT <br />DATE: January 11, 2000 <br />TO: John Jermanis, City Manager <br />BY: Gayle Petersen, City Clerk <br />AA(�- <br />APPROVED AND <br />FORWARDED <br />TO CITY COUNCIL <br />Joh Jermanis <br />Ci anager <br />SUBJECT: Matter of Separating the Agendas for the City Council and the San <br />Leandro Redevelopment Agency <br />SUBJECT PROJECT/PROJECT DESCRIPTION: <br />The City Council is requested to consider the recommendation from the Rules and <br />Communications Committee to separate the City Council Agenda and the <br />Redevelopment Agency Agenda. <br />SUMMARY AND RECOMMENDATION <br />The City Council, based on the recommendation from the Rules and <br />Communications Committee resulting from their December 28, 1999 Meeting, is <br />to separate the City Council Agenda from the San Leandro Redevelopment <br />Agency Agenda. <br />BACKGROUND <br />Current City Council Policy <br />• The current policy of the City Council is to operate under a combined City <br />Council/Redevelopment Agency Agenda when necessary. Specific actions <br />for both bodies are intermingled within the agenda. <br />Previous City Council Action(s) <br />• The City Council and Redevelopment Agency agendas were being considered <br />separately in 1996 and early 1997, with a separate agenda and minutes being <br />prepared for the Redevelopment Agency and placed at the end of the City <br />Council Agenda for separate action by the Redevelopment Agency. <br />Sometime during early 1997, the agendas were once again combined and <br />intermingled. <br />1t <br />
