SUMMARY AND RECOMMENDATION This memorandum and attachments serve as the Planning Commission recommendation for PD-99-1. A copy of the April 1, 1999, Planning Commission staff report and minutes of the Planning Commission public hearing on April 8, 1999, are attached for your review. Planning Commission Vote: MSC to forward PD-99-1 to the City Council for approval (MSC CollierlRavenstad 7 Ayes) The Planning Commission recommends that the City Council take the following action: 1. Approve PD-99-1 by motion. BACKGROUND In the mid 1970's, San Leandro Boulevard was extended from Washington Avenue to East 10 Street. The undeveloped property included in this proposal was a remnant of land resulting from the street extension. The property was recently rezoned from RM-1800 Residential Multi - Family District to IL (PD) Industrial Limited Planned Development Combining District. This allowed the applicant to file a planned development for the proposed development. The property has frontage on San Leandro Boulevard and Washington Avenue and backs up to several two-story four -unit apartment buildings that front on Coburn Court. The site has an area of approximately 22,903 square feet. i
