John Jermanis -2- September 18, 2000 <br />Identified other individuals who have been attending GPAC meetings on a regular <br />basis. <br />- Requested replacement appointments from Council members who have lost their <br />appointments. <br />Considered suggestions from resigning GPAC members about their potential <br />replacements. <br />Fourteen prospective new members, including 11 full members and three alternates, were <br />identified by the Ad Hoc Committee. All of the nominees were subsequently contacted — <br />two (Karen Von Glahn and Joyce Starosciak) declined to participate. <br />• The 12 remaining nominees are: <br />District 1: <br />Paul Nahm <br />Christopher Dorn (Council member Nardine's replacement appointee) <br />District 2: <br />Lucille Kline (would serve as an "alternate") <br />District 3: <br />Julian Polvorosa <br />Pete DiGregorio (nominated by Council Member Nardine) <br />District 5: <br />Al Padro (Council member Loeffler's replacement appointee) <br />Julia Cuellas <br />Tim Dineen (would serve as an "alternate") <br />District 6: <br />Wafaa Aborashed (nominated by Council member Lothrop) <br />Rich Moniz <br />Steven Spaulding <br />Timothy Drive neighborhood resident, to be appointed by Lothrop <br />Once officially appointed, the nominees would be asked to attend an orientation meeting in <br />October. They would begin participating in the GPAC at the next meeting, which is <br />scheduled for November 8, 2000. <br />Applicable General Plan PolicX <br />The proposed action is consistent with the overall General Plan goal of community participation <br />in local government and land use decisions.
