Travel Guidelines for League of California Cities' Policy Committee Members It is the City's policy that the City will pay travel expenses for committee members serving on any of the League's Policy Committees. The travel associated with League committee appointments will be in addition to the above mentioned travel and will be budgeted as follows: • 2 trips per fiscal year to Southern California committee meetings (overnight accommodations will not be paid by the City since the League usually schedules committee meetings to permit same day airline flight to and from Southern California.) The Mayor and City Council Members will present their intentions to the Rules and Communications Committee and obtain Council concurrence prior to accepting a committee nomination or appointment. Rules and Communications Committee Action The City Council's actual travel expenditures will be reviewed periodically by the Rules and Communications Committee.
