West S.L. Committee Members - 2 - April 13, 1998 <br />The Committee will meet monthly for a year, beginning in May 1998. It will first be asked to <br />identify issues of concern for the district and will likely hold a "Town Hall' meeting at some <br />point to gather broader community input. It is anticipated that topics to be covered will include: <br />• Traffic Circulation <br />• Future Development and Redevelopment <br />• Conflicts between Residential and Industrial Uses <br />• Community Services - Parks, Recreation and Libraries <br />• Schools and Youth Facilities <br />• Noise <br />• Neighborhood Appearance <br />• Housing <br />The final product of the committee will be a set of recommendations to the City Council <br />regarding priority City and neighborhood initiatives for the district. <br />CONCLUSION <br />All of the proposed committee members have agreed to serve on the West San Leandro Advisory <br />Committee, with the understanding that they will be meeting once monthly for approximately a <br />year.
