CINOFSAV j-EAND114 JUL 3 11998 CITYCLERK'S OFFICE REMINDER REGARDING PUBLIC HEARING ON SEWER and REFUSE INCREASES As a reminder, there will be public hearings on Monday, August 3, 1998 at 7:00 p.m. in the City Hall City Council Chambers, 835 E. 14th Street, San Leandro. A notice was previously sent to all affected property owners. If you did not receive a notice, please contact the Finance Department at (510) 577-3380. In summary, the proposed rate increases are as follows: Current Proposed Date of Monthly Monthly Monthly Last Rate Rate Increase Increase For Refuse Service Residential 32 Gal $10.10 $11.15 $1.05 1992 20 Gal $ 7.10 $ 7.85 $ .75 Commercial $65.30 $71.93 $6.63 (weekly 2 cubic yards) For Recycling Service $ 5.10 $ 5.60 $ .50 1996 For Sewer Service $15.50 $16.90 $1.40 1996 The Public Hearings are public meetings and there will be an opportunity for testimony and public input. However, if you wish to protest these fee increases you must submit a written protest for each fee you are protesting. A majority written protest will prohibit the City Council from adopting the proposed rates. Your written protest must include the following: (1) identify the fee you are protesting; (2) provide your printed name and complete address of your property if different from the Parcel Number as noted on the address label; (3) the complete address of your property if different from the address provided in (2). Your protest must be signed and dated. You may mail your written protest in advance of the Public Hearing to the attention of the City Clerk, City of San Leandro, 835 East 14th Street, San Leandro, CA 94577.
