Caporicci & Larson Certified Public Accountants Independent Auditors' Report on Measure B Compliance To the Honorable Mayor and City Council City of San Leandro, California Offices located in: Newport Beach, California Walnut Creek, California We have audited the general purpose financial statements of the City of San Leandro, California (the City), as of and for the year ended June 30, 1996, and have issued our report thereon dated September 23, 1996. We conducted our audit in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards. Those standards require that we plan and perform the audit to obtain reasonable assurance about whether the general purpose financial statements are free of material misstatement. Compliance with laws and regulations, contracts and grants applicable to the City is the responsibility of the City's management. As part of obtaining reasonable assurance about whether the general purpose financial statements are free of material misstatement. we performed tests of the City's compliance with Measure B grant regulations as specified in the agreement pertaining to the Aladdin Avenue and Fairway Drive Overcross Project between the City and Alameda County Transportation Authority which incurred project expenditures of $15,598 for the year ended June 30, 1996. However, the objective of our audit of the general purpose financial statements was not to provide an opinion on overall compliance with such provisions. Accordingly, we do not express such an opinion. The results of our tests indicate that, with respect to the items tested, the City complied in all material respects with the provisions referred to above. With respect to items not tested, nothing came to our attention that caused us to believe the City had not complied, in all material respects, with those provisions. This report is intended for the information of the City Council, management and the Alameda County Transportation Authority.
