CITY OF SAN LEANDRO
STAFF REPORT
DATE: February 25, 1997
TO: John J. Jermanis, City Manager
J
FROM: June Catalano, Development Services Director
BY: Joann Oliver, Community Standards Coordinator
SUBJECT: Continuance of St. Moritz Matter
SUMMARY AND RECOMMENDATION
APPROVED AND FORW
TO CITY COUNCIL
John J
City lv
The matter of approving the Findings of Fact, Conditions of Approval and the Monitoring Plan for
the St. Moritz Apartments (SD-75-44) was continued by the City Council to the March 3, 1997
City Council meeting. The matter was continued to provide an opportunity for the neighbors and
the owner of the St. Moritz Apartments to develop a compromise solution to the issues regarding
the apartment access onto Harold Avenue.
During the continuance period, several compromises have been proposed. Although no agreement
has been reached, staff is continuing to work with the parties to develop a compromise. To provide
adequate opportunity for the parties to reach an agreement, staff recommends that the City Council
continue the matter of SD-75-44 to a date uncertain. Staff will continue to keep the City Council
informed and will move the process forward as quickly as possible.
CONCLUSION
Mr. Sullivan and the neighbors have indicated a desire to develop a compromise which is agreeable
to all parties. We are hopeful that an agreement will soon be reached.
279
