Worthington, Durant Park Development Limited Liability Company, NA-2 <br />North Area District. <br />SUMMARY AND RECOMMENDATION <br />This memorandum and attachments will serve as the Planning Commission report for A-97-1 and PD-97-1. <br />A copy of the February 21, 1997, Planning Commission Staff Report and minutes of the Planning <br />Commission public hearing of February 27, 1997, are attached for your review. <br />Planning Commission Vote: <br />MSC Ness/Reed, 6 ayes, 1 noe (Ravenstad) <br />The Planning Commission and Staff recommends that the City Council take the following action: <br />1. Adopt the attached Negative Declaration by motion; <br />2. Approve the proposed Reclassification (A-97-1) by adopting the attached ordinance; and <br />3. Approve the proposed Planned Development (PD-97-1), subject to the attached Conditions of <br />Approval, by motion. <br />BACKGROUND <br />The subject property is a 20,040 square foot, undeveloped lot with chainlink fencing around the perimeter. <br />The developer has acquired the property and propose the following: <br />A. To rezone the property from NA-2 North Area District to RS(PD) Residential Single -Family <br />Planned Development District. <br />B. To develop the property with four single-family residences. <br />Last summer, the developer proposed a similar residential project to the Planning Commission, which <br />received a recommendation for approval to the City Council.
