Lawson, General Manager <br />Livermore-Amador Valley Water Management Agency <br />623 West Myrick Court <br />Clayton CA 94517-1648 <br />Subject: LAVWMA Construction Project <br />Dear Mr. Lawson: <br />LAVWMA proposes to construct a pipeline through the City of San Leandro along <br />Lewelling Boulevard to a connection point with the EBDA (East Bay Dischargers <br />Association) bay discharge pipeline. Please be advised that the City will condition an <br />encroachment permit for this construction permit to require: <br />1. Full landscape median with signage, irrigation, and a minimum two-year <br />maintenance period along Lewelling Boulevard from Washington Avenue to <br />Wicks Boulevard. <br />2. Installation of street trees and landscaping along the sidewalk area of Lewelling <br />Boulevard from Washington Avenue to Wicks Boulevard. <br />3. Lighting improvements on Lewelling Boulevard including lighting <br />improvements to the southside, or relocation of street lights to the median. <br />4. A $50,000 contribution for local sidewalk improvements. <br />The City will also require to the extent of construction impacts associated with the overall <br />prof ect: <br />1. Flashing school beacon on Fargo Avenue and Manor Boulevard depending on <br />school realignment. <br />2. Busing funds for busing of students on the south side of Lewelling Boulevard <br />and payment of crossing guards during the construction period. <br />OO <br />Ellen M.
