Consulting Services Agreement between City of San Leandro and Last revised 03/04/2022 Planting Seeds Consulting for Resilience Hubs Exhibit A—Page 1 of 1 EXHIBIT A SCOPE OF SERVICES, COMPENSATION SCHEDULE, AND REIMBURSEABLE EXPENSES This proposal outlines specific strategies that Planting Seeds Consulting will support to advance the City of San Leandro’s commitment resilience hubs. The proposed activities will support and augment the City’s existing efforts, including current activities with the CivicSpark Fellow and grants program. Participants will include groups who participated in the 2021 leadership training session as well as selected other groups interested in becoming hubs. The goals include: ● To build more capacity for the community-based organizations who are self-organizing as resilience hubs, spaces and blocks ● To strengthen the relationships and collaborations between the resilience h ubs and with City of San Leandro, during both emergencies and ongoing resilience projects ● To support fundraising for both smaller community projects and bigger infrastructure needs (eg, solar with battery backup) ● To serve as a model for other cities working on developing resilience hubs programming and strategies Proposed Activities and Outcomes CAPACITY BUILDING OUTCOME: CBO’s will build their own capacity that will then strengthen their ability to develop into a resilience hub, space or block. PLANTING SEEDS CONSULTING PROPOSED ACTIVITIES: 1. Consultant will support CivicSpark Fellow in continuing to develop capacity building mini- workshops, which will include meeting facilitation, strengthening their site teams, planning successful community projects and conflict resolution. 2. Consultant will plan and implement at least one longer workshop to review resilience plans for hubs, spaces and blocks, aligned with the Urban Sustainability Directors Network (USDN)’s framework. The workshop will include City of San Leandro staff and will provide stipends to participants. 3. Consultant will provide support for the CivicSpark Fellow and Sustainability Manager with 1 -1 consulting for groups after the workshops on an as-needed basis. RELATIONSHIPS AND COLLABORATIONS OUTCOMES: The City of San Leandro will work with CBO’s to build trust, relationships and a deeper understanding of working with local governments; and on practices and policies that formalize their relationships as resilience hubs, spaces and blocks. The CBO’s will build relationships between the sites that support sharing resources, information and community building. PLANTING SEEDS CONSULTING PROPOSED ACTIVITIES: 1. Work with CivicSpark Fellow to support the continued development of online communication content and platforms, including webpages and digital communications (such as a listserv). 2.
