Consulting Services Agreement between City of San Leandro and The San Leandro Chamber of Commerce for Ongoing Econ Dev Services Last revised 2/18/2022 Exhibit A – Page 1 of 2 EXHIBIT A SCOPE OF SERVICES COMPENSATION SCHEDULE & REIMBURSABLE EXPENSES The San Leandro Chamber of Commerce (Chamber) believes the business community plays a critical role in continuing to move the local economy forward. San Leandro's businesses are responsible for over 60% of the city’s total revenues. With the effects the COVID-19 pandemic has had on businesses, collaboration between city staff, and partners, such as the Chamber of Commerce, to support and uplift our local businesses and invite newcomers, is more important than ever. The Chamber of Commerce initiatives focus on being the convener, catalyst, and champion for the business community. Workforce Development - $25,000 $10,000 Job Fairs – The job fairs champion the initiative of local people getting local jobs within multiple industries in San Leandro. Two job fairs will be held throughout the year, providing the opportunity for approximately 10-20 businesses and organizations (including the City) to promote available jobs, and for residents to learn about available jobs and resources, make connections with employers, and apply for and obtain jobs in their community. $15,000 National Small Business Week 2022 - Provide the platform and planning for up to eight one hour business education seminars on several different topics; website development, marketing, social media, QuickBooks training, resilient leadership, and more. San Leandro Branding & Marketing - $13,000 The Chamber and City will work together to create and market the San Leandro story. The marketing plan may be utilized by the City’s Economic Development team and the Chamber of Commerce to help encourage businesses and developers to locate to and invest in San Leandro. $7,000 – Research – The Chamber will identify partners/businesses to champion the initiative, engage with stakeholders to identify strengths and weaknesses in attracting businesses to San Leandro through roundtable discussions, interviews, and surveys. A summary of feedback will be provided, including recommendations for more effective business attraction strategies and positive things to highlight. • Business Roundtable – The Chamber will host industry-specific executive level roundtables to connect businesses, seek feedback to learn why they choose to be in San Leandro, and what they require in order to stay and grow. These roundtables will be by invitation only in an effort to create a setting that will allow for deeper conversations. Information gained from these conversations will be utilized to further the marketing efforts of San Leandro $6,000 – Promotion of City Initiatives – The Chamber will promote the City’s Green Business Program, Business Incentives Program, and the Downtown Parking Program with the goal of referring businesses to enlist in these programs. They will be marketed by creating a page on the Chamber’s website, featuring the programs in the Chamber newsletter, as well as its social media channels.
