�r <br />IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br />RESOLUTION NO. 96 - 34 (1980) <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING FILING OF A CLAIM WITH <br />THE METROPOLITAN TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION <br />FOR ALLOCATION OF TRANSPORTATION DEVELOPMENT <br />ACT ARTICLE 3 FUNDS FOR FISCAL YEAR 1996-97 <br />WHEREAS, the Transportation Development Act (TDA), provides for disbursement <br />of funds from the Local Transportation Fund of the County of Alameda for use by eligible <br />claimants for .the purpose of pedestrian and/or bicycle projects; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of the Transportation Development Act and <br />pursuant to the applicable rules and regulations thereunder, a prospective claimant wishing <br />to receive an allocation from the Local Transportation Fund shall file its claim with the <br />Metropolitan Transportation Commission; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of San Leandro is an eligible claimant for TDA funds pursuant <br />to PUC section 99234; and <br />WHEREAS, TDA funds from the Local Transportation fund of Alameda County will <br />be required by claimant in fiscal year 1996-97, for the completion of the Shoreline Trail and <br />the installation of handicap ramps at various locations. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does RESOLVE <br />as follows: <br />That said City Council hereby authorizes the Director of the Department of <br />Engineering and Transportation or his designee to execute and file an appropriate TDA <br />Claim, together with all necessary supporting documents, with the Metropolitan <br />Transportation Commission, for an allocation of TDA funds in Fiscal Year 1996-97. <br />
