EXHIBIT A SCOPE OF SERVICES SECOND YEAR ENVIRONMENTAL MONITORING SERVICES FOR THE SAN LEANDRO SHORELINE MARSHLANDS PROJECT DURATION AND APPROVAL This agreement provides for second, third, fourth and fifth year monitoring and reporting services (through November 1999) for the San Leandro Shoreline Marshlands as required by the Corps of Engineers and the Bay Conservation and Development Commission. City Council approval of this Agreement authorizes the required services from the issuance of the Purchase Order for the second year monitoring through the end of the fifth year monitoring in November 1999. Authorization to perform the required services in years three, four and five is based on City Council approval of the annual budget for those years. Should the City Council elect to not approve funding for the services in the third, fourth and fifth years, this Agreement shall terminate at the completion of the services to be rendered under the then current Purchase Order. The Contractor shall proceed with the authorized services each year only after receiving a fully executed Purchase Order from the Finance Department of the City of San Leandro. A separate Purchase Order shall be required for each of the second, third, fourth and fifth year service periods. PROJECT DESCRIPTION This monitoring and reporting program is required to be conducted for a period of at least five years from completion of the marshlands enhancement work. This agreement extends through November 1996 which covers monitoring and reporting of the second through fifth years of the program. SCOPE OF WORK The Contractor shall perform the following tasks: Services necessary to provide second through fifth year post -construction monitoring for the Shoreline Marshlands Enhancement Project.
