<br />Page 4 of 37 Bid No. 2021-22.011 Bonaire Drainage Project <br />ATTACHMENT A <br /> <br />SCOPE OF SERVICES <br /> <br />The work requested consists of improving the Bonaire Park parking lot storm drain system by installing a <br />drainpipe system including cleanouts and a field inlet; and doing all appurtenant work in place and ready <br />for use, as shown and described in the specifications. Plans are included at the end of this attachment. <br /> <br />PROJECT DESCRIPTION <br />The project consists of the construction of a storm drainpipe system to improve drainage at Bonaire Park <br />in the City of San Leandro. The project includes installation of 10” PVC pipe, cleanouts and storm water <br />field inlet. The Contractor shall provide all labor, tools, materials, and equipment to perform the work. <br /> <br />All Work performed by the Contractor shall be done in conformance with the specifications of this <br />document or at the direction of the Public Works Director or her designee. The specifications of this <br />document take precedence unless the Contractor and Director agree in writing. Any work or material <br />that is not found to meet specifications of this document, during the time of application and the twelve <br />months immediately following completion of the Work, shall be redone, or replaced at the Contractor’s <br />sole expense. <br /> <br />The Engineer has estimated that the value of Base Bid work is between $40,000 and $48,000. <br /> <br />A Class A Contractor’s License is required for this work. No bid will be accepted from a contractor who <br />has not been licensed in accordance with Chapter 9, Division 3 of the California Business and <br />Professions Code. <br /> <br />SCOPE OF WORK <br /> <br />1. The scope of work for the Bonaire Park Drainage Improvement Project consists of the following: <br />2. Provide survey stakes for the horizontal and vertical alignment of 10” storm drainpipe based on <br />information noted on the plans provided. Acquire approval from City representative prior to start of <br />work. <br />3. Install 10” PVC pipe by open cut excavation starting from existing storm drainpipe to new field inlet <br />using a minimum slope of one percent and install two cleanouts 100’ apart. <br />4. Construct field inlet per City standard plans. <br />5. Backfill storm drainpipe system per city standard plans. <br /> <br />The Contractor is responsible for obtaining all permits and/or approvals required to complete the project. <br /> <br />Contractor shall notify the public and park users of said construction by posting signs around the <br />construction zone. Where park parking is to be temporarily used during construction, “No Parking” signs <br />with working dates and hours shall be posted on barricades by the Contractor a minimum of 48 hours <br />prior to the start of work, subject to City’s approval. A maximum of 10 parking stalls may be used for <br />equipment storage and construction parking. The parking lot shall be kept clean and free of construction <br />debris at the end of working day. The contractor shall be responsible for securing his equipment and <br />materials. <br /> <br />Contractor shall take precautions to avoid damage to public and private property during all stages of the <br />Work. Contractor shall protect the public, including staff, and ensure persons are kept away from <br />contractor trucks and equipment by providin g all appropriate barricades and traffic control required to <br />perform Work.
