Section 1 CLASSES CATEGORIES, AND SALARIES <br />The following classes and categories of positions are hereby created or continued. <br />of implementation of SB 53, City reports the Employer Paid Member Contribution khvmt-) as compensauon <br />to PERS for retirement purposes. <br />Pay for employees represented by the San Leandro Management Organization shall receive a two percent (2 %) <br />salary increase effective July 1, 1995 and July 1, 1996, except for employees in those classes which were <br />previously Y-rated. Those classes are noted by the double Y (YY). Effective July 1, 1994, pay rates shown <br />for management employees shall be increased by five percent (5 %) over the monthly salary shown in the Pay <br />Plan. The additional five percent (5 %) of pay shall be credited to the employees' accounts in the Deferred <br />Compensation Plan. The increase and deduction are for purposes of reporting said deferred compensation <br />contribution to PERS as compensation for retirement purposes. Effective July 1, 1994, as a result of <br />implementation of SB 53, the City shall report the Employer Paid Member Contribution (EPMC) as <br />compensation to PERS for retirement purposes. <br />Effective March 1, 1994, as a result of the reorganization of the Public Works Services Department, pay for <br />some incumbent employees will be frozen until the appropriate step of the salary range catches up or the <br />position is vacated. Classes which include individuals who have had specialist pay that will be frozen are <br />shown with two crosses (+ +) for a 5 % specialist pay, and three crosses (+ + +) for a 7.5 % specialist pay. <br />The reorganization hereafter eliminates all specialist pay in the Public Works Services Department. <br />Pay for employees represented by the San Leandro City Employees' Association is effective July 1, 1995. <br />Pursuant to the Memorandum of Understanding effective July 1, 1993, employees in classes below the labor <br />market salary by more the five percent (5 %) will receive an equity adjustment and a 1.25 % cost of living <br />adjustment effective July 1, 1994. Those classes are noted by the circumflex symbol (" ). Employees in classes <br />with salaries within a range of plus or minus (+/-) five percent (5 %) of the labor market salary shall receive <br />a 1.25 % cost of living adjustment effective July 1, 1994. Those classes are noted by the number symbol (#). <br />Employees in classes with salaries above the labor market by more than five percent (5 %) shall not receive the <br />1.25 cost of living adjustment effective July 1, 1994 but will receive the two percent cost of living adjustment <br />effective July 1, 1995 and are noted by the plus symbol (+). Employees in classes with salaries above the <br />labor market by more than 5 % shall not receive the 1.25 % cost of living adjustment or the two percent (2%) <br />salary adjustment July 1, 1995 and are noted by the double Y symbol (YY). <br />Effective July 1, 1995, employees represented by the San Leandro City Employees' Association will receive <br />a two percent (2%) salary adjustment, except employees in those classes that are Y-rated. Those classes are <br />noted by a double Y symbol (YY). <br />4 <br />
