SCOPE OF SERVICES <br />1. Contractor shall research, plan, and develop program options related to the City's <br />solid waste management objectives and the State -mandated goal of 50% waste <br />reduction by the year 2000. <br />2. Contractor shall manage and implement the City's Waste Minimization and Recycling <br />Business Assistance Program. <br />3. Contractor shall assist in the City's residential curbside recycling and green waste <br />collection programs. <br />4. Contractor shall be responsible for assisting City in meeting the regulatory <br />requirements of the California Integrated Waste Management Act of 1989 (AB939), <br />and of the Recycling Initiative of 1991, known as "Measure D." This includes, but is <br />not limited to, the following tasks: <br />a. Working with the Alameda County Waste Management Authority; <br />b. Working with the California Integrated Waste Management Board; <br />C. Researching, planning and development of reports and programs. <br />5. Contractor shall research and develop grant proposals related to the City's solid <br />waste management and waste reduction objectives. <br />6.
