Page Two <br />allowed on the course. <br />If a bicycle does not pass inspection, a checklist is provided to the student indicating the problems. If the <br />bike is a hazard to the safety of the child, he/she will be provide with a Safe Moves bicycle for use on the <br />course, and instructed that their bicycle should not be ridden until repairs are made. <br />All helmets are inspected for proper fit and sizing. Each child who brings their own helmet to the rodeo <br />will receive a 'fitting' and all students will be taught the proper way to wear a helmet. Any child who <br />does not bring a helmet, will be provided with one for use on the course. <br />4. Rodeo Course <br />Once the bicyclist has registered and passed the bicycle and helmet inspection, he/she is told how the <br />course works. Although the course is a learning tool, the bicyclist is educated in a fun and challenging <br />way. The course lessons are designed to be age appropriate and are adjusted to the skills of the rider. <br />After the student completes the course, they receive a second hand stamp which allows them to receive <br />their prizes at the registration booth. <br />The Safe Moves City Rodeo: <br />Safe Moves will conduct one (1) rodeo at each of the thirteen (13) school sites. The following will be <br />provided by Safe Moves: <br />1. The Safe Moves City <br />• All props - i.e. sidewalks, houses and garages, storefronts, cars, traffic signals and signs, railroad <br />tracks and signals, dogs... <br />• Peripherals - i.e. registration booth, table, chairs, displays, pencils... <br />2. A minimum of 15 bicycles for use by participants <br />3. A minimum of 30 helmets for use by participants <br />4. Event banners (no San Leandro logo) <br />5. One Safe Moves staff member to serve as "Rodeo Team Leader" - San Leandro will provide at least <br />three (3) staff/volunteers per event to assist team leader. <br />6. Certificate of Insurance <br />7. Desian and master copy of event announcement fliers and permission forms. Master is then sent to <br />school for copying and distribution to students <br />8. The Safe Movers (Traffic Sign Costumes), sound system and Safe Moves staff to man costumes and <br />perform rock `n' roll show for one event in October <br />9. 5,000 safety quizzes <br />10. 30 bicycle helmets to be donated at the City's discretion <br />Exhibit "A" Page 2 of 2 <br />
