Task 4 - Electrical and Instrumentation Design <br />Electrical and Instrumentation design includes service analysis and requirements, design <br />of electrical distribution system for process pumps, instruments, lighting and <br />miscellaneous electrical components. Control center modifications or replacements for <br />the new facilities, lighting and circuit diagrams and switchgear designs will be provided in <br />this task. Contract drawings, using City format with AutoCAD ver 12, and specifications <br />for the project work will be produced as part of this. Continued use of the existing <br />residual chlorine monitoring hardware is anticipated. <br />Task 5 - Preparation of Review and Final Documents <br />The Preliminary Design Report will be prepared at approximately the 10% design point <br />and submitted to the City for review. Four sets of prints and specifications will be <br />provided to the City for review at the 70% and 95% complete points for comment and <br />one set of reproducible specifications and original drawings will be provided at the <br />completion of design. Construction cost estimates will be prepared and submitted with <br />the 70%, 95% and final submittals. A set of design calculations with table of contents <br />signed and stamped by the applicable engineer and recommendations for special <br />construction procedures and staging are to be submitted upon completion of design. <br />Upon final approval of the contract drawings, the original vellums will be stamped and <br />signed by a registered engineer. The Project Manual will incorporate the City's bid <br />advertising, agreement, general conditions and other standard contract documentation. <br />For all of the drawing submittals the Contractor shall provide one set of half -sized <br />drawings on 11x17 sheets of bond paper. <br />CONSTRUCTION SUPPORT SERVICES <br />Task 6 - Permit and Bid Period Support Services <br />Work in this task involves supporting the City staff during permitting and bid periods. <br />Permitting support shall include the resolution of questions and the preparation of <br />drawing revisions to meet Building Code Specifications required by Building Department <br />officials.
