2. SCOPE OF WORK
Optional Task
• Conduct specialized surveys to supplement biological resource studies
that have been completed to date, if determined to be necessary
following completion of the tasks described above. This could include
protocol surveys for listed plant and animal species, or a formal
wetland delineation, if applicable.
11. Energy
Issues
The Draft EIR on the Lake Chabot Terrace project concluded that energy
impacts would be less -than -significant. There is no reason to think that this
conclusion would be any different with the current proposal. Therefore, the
energy section will be update the discussion prepared for the previous EIR to
reflect the current development proposal and current City policies.
Tasks
• Update the energy setting section of the Lake Chabot Terrace Project
EIR to reflect planned improvements or expansion of PG&E facilities
in the project vicinity in consultation with the project sponsor and
PG&E and to include current City energy conservation policies.
• Estimate the net increase in energy that would be consumed for
construction and operation (including related motor vehicle trips) of the
project.
• Update the mitigation measures set forth in the previous EIR to reflect
the current development proposal and current City policies. Evaluate
whether mitigation measures would reduce the impacts below a level of
significance and identify the parties who would be responsible for
implementing each measure.
Boulders Residential Development EIR
26 of 37
