Program Application (continued) <br />ASSURANCES <br />Applicant possesses legal authority to apply for the grant and to finance, acquire, and construct the <br />Proposed project; and by formal action (e.g., a resolution) the applicant's governing body authorized <br />the filing of the application, including all understandings and assurances contained therein, and <br />authorized the person identified as the official representative of the applicant to act in connection with <br />the application and to provide such additional information as may be required. <br />Applicant will manage and maintain any property acquired, developed, rehabilitated, or restored with <br />grant funds in the future. With the granting agency's prior approval, the applicant or its successors <br />in interest may transfer the management and maintenance -responsibilities in the property. If the <br />property is not managed and maintained for the purposes stated in the project agreement, the state <br />shall be reimbursed an amount at least equal to the amount of the grant award or, for real property, <br />the pro rats fair market value of the property, including improvements, at the time of sale, whichever <br />is higher. <br />Applicant will give the state's authorized representative access to and the right to examine all records, <br />books, papers, or documents related to the grant <br />Applicant will cause work on the project to be commenced within a reasonable time after receipt of <br />notification from the state that funds have been approved and that the project will be carried to <br />completion with reasonable diligence. <br />Applicant will Comply where applicable with provisions of the California Environmental-QuardyAct and <br />the _:.afifomia Relocation Assistance Act, and any other state, and/or local taws, rules and/or <br />regulations. <br />Signed ZDate <br />(Grant Applicants Auth6Kzed Representative) <br />RA (7/96) Page 2 of 2 <br />
