IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO <br />RESOLUTION NO.97-127 (2217 ) <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO AN <br />AGREEMENT WITH THE CALIFORNIA OFFICE OF TRAFFIC SAFETY FOR A <br />GRANT FOR A COMPUTERIZED COLLISION DATABASE AND ANALYSIS <br />SYSTEM AND TO NEGOTIATE A CONTRACT WITH A CONSULTANT TO <br />IMPLEMENT THE SYSTEM <br />Recitals <br />WHEREAS, the City of San Leandro as applied for grant for the development of a <br />computerized collision database and analysis system for the Engineering and <br />Transportation Department: and, <br />WHEREAS, the City has tentatively received approval of a $35,000 grant to <br />implement the computerized collision database and analysis system: and, <br />WHEREAS, the City must enter into an agreement with the Office of Traffic <br />Safety to provide staff time to assist in the implementation of the computerized collision <br />database and to evaluate the programs effectiveness: and, <br />WHEREAS, the City does not have the staff available to develop the <br />computerized accident database and will require to retain the services of a consultant: <br />and, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San Leandro does <br />RESOLVE and declare that the City Manager is authorized to: <br />1. Enter into an agreement with the California Office of Traffic Safety for the <br />implementation of a computerized collision database and analysis system for the <br />amount of $35,000, and <br />
