Exhibit A <br />page 3 of 8 <br />Pedestrian Education <br />• Safe places to walk (sidewalks, parks, etc.) <br />• Unsafe places to walk (streets, railroad tracks, parking lots, etc.) <br />• Stranger awareness/ personal safety <br />• Crosswalks (controlled and uncontrolled) <br />• Recognition and understanding of signs and signals <br />• Recognition and avoidance of common pedestrian collisions <br />• Walking to school safely (safe routes, getting out of a parent's car) <br />• Attire (bright colored clothing, tied shoe laces, etc.) <br />• Walking on busv sidewalks <br />• Precautions to take around special events <br />• Railroad crossings <br />• Driveways/ allevways <br />• Student drop off and pick up zones at schools <br />• Use of designated suggested safe routes to school <br />Fee per school site: S 850.00 <br />Total fee for 13 schools: S 11,050.00 <br />I Community -Based Traffic Rodeos for Bicvclists and Pedestrians <br />Safe doves will conduct six (6) community -based traffic rodeos on designated <br />weekends and/or holidays at community centers, schools, parks and <br />shopping areas for parents and children. <br />The traffic rodeo will consist of sidewalks, crosswalks, streets, neighborhoods, <br />business & shopping districts, traffic signs & signals, buses, cars and railroad <br />crossings with trains to simulate familiar traffic environments and to <br />demonstrate the leading causes of bicycle and pedestrian -related deaths and <br />injuries among school -aged children. <br />The components of the traffic rodeo consist of the following: <br />1. Registration <br />All bicyclists and pedestrians participating in the rodeo are required to submit <br />a permission form signed by a parent or legal guardian. The permission <br />forms will be distributed at school sites and will be made available on the day <br />of the event. <br />After registration is complete, the parent and child must take a written test on <br />bicycle and pedestrian safety. The test will be reviewed and corrected by rodeo <br />pg 3 of 8 <br />
