1.3.3 Equipment and Methods: Spray equipment shall be in good <br />operating condition, quality, and design to efficiently apply <br />material to the target area. Drift will be minimized by avoiding <br />high pressure applications and using water soluble drift agents. <br />1.3.4 Applications: All pesticide applications shall be in accordance <br />with written recommendations provided by a licensed pest <br />control advisor (PCA) with application performed by a licensed <br />qualified applicator (QAC). All chemical applications are to be <br />pre -approved and reviewed with the Golf Course Operations <br />Manager prior to application. Records of such recommendations <br />and application records shall be available to the Golf Course <br />Operations Manager for inspection at all times. <br />1.3.5 Selection of Materials: Pesticides shall be selected from those <br />materials which characteristically have the lowest residual <br />persistence. Use of emulsifiable concentrates shall be used when <br />possible to limit windblown particles. The use of adjuvants will <br />be utilized to increase pesticide efficiency thereby reducing the <br />total amount of technical material required to gain control. <br />1.4 SOUND CONTROL REQUIREMENTS: The Operator shall comply <br />with all local sound control and noise level rules, regulations, and <br />ordinances which apply to any work performed pursuant to the <br />agreement. Each internal combustion engine used for any purpose on <br />the job or related to the job shall be equipped with a muffler of a type <br />recommended by the manufacturer of such equipment.
