Operator's expense, to determine comparable soil <br />amendment prior to application. <br />2.12.1.6 Aerification will be performed at a frequency which <br />reflects warranted conditions. It could be done twice <br />per year. The newly constructed greens may not be <br />aerified as frequently during the first year. <br />Occasional "quarter tining" and/or slicing with no top <br />dressing may be performed to relieve compaction, <br />allow air and water movement and facilitate flushing <br />of salts. <br />2.12.1.7 Operator shall have the soil analyzed to determine all <br />properties inclusive of physical characteristics and <br />recommended nutrient requirements by a <br />pre -approved soil analysis laboratory within thirty <br />(30) days of term of contract, and annually thereafter. <br />Nutrient requirements are to be established, through <br />assay and/or periodic tissue analysis, to insure <br />uniform growth of high quality intensely maintained <br />turf typical of high quality local area putting greens. A <br />proper monthly fertilization program is to be <br />established and maintained by the Operator <br />throughout the term of the contract. <br />2.12.1.8 Putting surfaces are to be treated with chemicals only <br />on an as needed basis to insure them to be free of <br />damaging insects, noxious weeds, pathogens, and <br />other pests typically associated with such intensely <br />maintained turf grass.
