SAN LEANDRO ADMINISTRATIVE CODE <br />TITLE 12 PUBLIC WORKS <br />Chapter 5 Uniform Wastewater Discharge <br />Regulations <br />(n) Peak Month. The month of the fiscal year in which a User discharges the greatest <br />quantities of flow, BOD and/or Suspended Solids. A User may have different peak <br />months for each of the billable parameters of flow, BOD, and Suspended Solids. <br />(o) Peak Month Loading. The discharges of flow, BOD, and Suspended Solids in the <br />peak month(s). <br />(p) Public Works Services Director. The Public Works Services Director of the City of <br />San Leandro or his authorized representative acting within the scope of his assigned <br />duties. <br />(q) Residential Discharge Equivalency. A unit of discharge equal in volume and <br />strength to the design discharge of a single-family dwelling unit. This shall be 171 <br />gpd, 0.214lb/day of BOD, and 0.247 lb/day of SS. <br />(r) Residential User. Any user introducing into the sewerage system domestic wastes <br />from single-family or multiple -family dwellings. <br />(s) Revenue User. An industrial user or a non-residential user whose wastewater <br />discharge is monitored in order to determine flow, BOD, and/or SS. <br />(t) Schools. Any public or private institutions of learning that introduce into the City's <br />sewerage system primarily segregated domestic waste or wastes from sanitary <br />conveniences. <br />(u) Single -Family Dwelling. Any residential unit designed to house one family and not <br />herein defined as multiple -family; duplexes and mobile homes not located in mobile <br />home parks and condominiums shall be considered single-family. <br />(v) SS (Suspended solids). Solids that either float on the surface of, or are in suspension <br />in water, sewage or other liquids, and which are largely removable by laboratory <br />filtration procedures. <br />(w) User. A recipient of wastewater flow occurring over a specified period of time. <br />8/ 12/98 3 <br />
