IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO RESOLUTION NO.2022-124 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN LEANDRO CITY COUNCIL TO APPROVE AND AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONSULTING SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH KIER & WRIGHT CIVIL ENGINEERS AND SURVEYORS, INC. FOR ON -CALL LAND SURVEYING SERVICES IN AN AMOUNT NOT -TO -EXCEED $200,000 FOR THREE YEARS WHEREAS, the Engineering and Transportation Department Project Development and Land Development Divisions provide engineering services for public projects and private land development projects; and WHEREAS, the Engineering and Transportation Department seeks to provide timely and efficient service to residents, visitors, other City departments, and private land developers; and WHEREAS, staff issued a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) seeking civil engineering and land surveying consulting firms to assist with engineering projects as needed; and WHEREAS, after reviewing RFQ responses from five consultants, staff recommends that Kier & Wright Civil Engineers and Surveyors, Inc. should be one of three consultants to be retained to provide on -call consulting services in an amount not to exceed $200,000 for a period of three years; and WHEREAS, staff recommends that the City Council authorize the City Manager to enter into a Consulting Services Agreement between the City and CSG Consultants, Inc., copies of which are attached and presented to this City Council; and WHEREAS, a blanket purchase order will be requested for the Consultant. Consultant costs will be charged either to projects in the Capital Improvement Program or as a direct cost to land developers applying for entitlements or permits; and WHEREAS, Kier & Wright Civil Engineers and Surveyors, Inc. has agreed to the terms of the contract pending Council approval; and WHEREAS, the City Council is familiar with the contents thereof, and WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends approval of said agreement. NOW, THEREFORE, the City of San Leandro City Council hereby RESOLVES as follows: That said agreement is hereby approved and execution by the City Manager is hereby authorized.
